About Us

Dublin Energy Consulting helps homeowners make confident, informed decisions when investing in Solar PV.
We provide independent advice on rooftop and garden-based solar installations, acting solely in the homeowner’s interest. Our role is to assess each client’s individual energy needs, review the suitability of their property, optimise the size and design of the proposed system, and support them through the buying process.
We are not tied to any Solar PV supplier or installer. This means our advice is objective, practical, and focused on helping homeowners choose the right system, avoid unnecessary costs, and achieve the best long-term value.
Dublin Energy Consulting is led by Ian Whitehouse, an Electrical and Electronic Engineer with a primary degree from Brunel University, London, and a Master’s Degree in Energy Science from Trinity College Dublin. Ian is also a qualified BER assessor, bringing strong technical knowledge and energy-performance expertise to every client engagement.
